Firearms Instruction: Women Helping Women on the Range
The Ladies of Caliber all‑female team of Instructors and Range Safety Officers is committed to empowering women to feel comfortable, capable, confident, and empowered throughout their firearms journey.
Our curriculum is tailored specifically for beginner shooters, as well as for those with prior experience who would benefit from a refresher. Our foremost priority is SAFETY - always. Safety comes first in the classroom, at home, and on the range.
We have created a supportive, respectful, and nurturing environment where every student feels both physically and emotionally safe while learning, growing , and thriving.
Our Firearms and Range Safety Levels I & II courses educate both women and men in an encouraging, low-stress setting that builds confidence and competence.
Ladies of Caliber teaches and adheres to all NRA firearm safety rules during firearm operation and range activities. We strictly follow the “Always, Always, Always” principle, and all participants are required to wear both eye and ear protection while on the range.
Personal safety has never been more important. Women deserve to feel informed, prepared, and resilient. Empowering women with knowledge, confidence, and capability is the mission we proudly stand behind.
Our Level I course is designed with student safety and peace of mind as the top priority. We guide you through the fundamentals of firearm operation, range safety protocols, proper stance and grip, magazine loading, how to clear an ammo malfunction, what to wear at the range, and more. All instruction takes place in a classroom setting using inert training firearms and simulated ammunition, allowing students to learn in a safe, no‑stress, non‑lethal environment.
In Level II, students move to the range for hands‑on instruction with live firearms, putting their classroom learning into practice. This course is offered as a group lesson at our home range in Caddo Mills, Texas, or as a private lesson. Firearms and ammunition are provided. Students are responsible for bringing eye and ear protection and wearing appropriate range attire. A $20 range fee is required for all participants and is collected at registration for group lessons.
Our Certified Range Medic course is specifically designed for non‑medical individuals who want to know how to respond during an emergency—whether at the range, in a place of worship, the workplace, while hunting, or on the road. During this course, students learn valuable, practical skills at an affordable price. Instruction emphasizes hands‑on learning in a calm, respectful, and supportive environment. No prior medical training is required—just a willingness to learn and be prepared when it matters most.
